Welcome to the 25th issue of Management Rights Direct and our first publication for 2007.
The New Year signals the appointment of our new Sales and Marketing Director: Scott McCluskey. Scott comes to us from a leading telecommunications provider and brings many years of corporate sales experience to our organization. I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome Scott aboard; I know his skills and experience will help ensure we kick some big goals in 2007.
The year is off to a wonderful start with January breaking traffic records for another consecutive month. We’ve been logging upwards of 1000 daily visitors, 80% being from Australia and New Zealand. The most frequent Google searches are “Management Rights” and “Management Rights for Sale” confirming that our audience is not only growing rapidly (700% annual growth), but also remains on target.
The “hole in the ground” at the corner of Ipswich Road and Stanley Street at Woolloongabba is no more. It has been replaced by Gabba Central – Brisbane’s latest and greatest residential/retail complex. Stage 1, comprising a full size Coles supermarket, 20 specialty shops, a sports bar, Gabba Central 1 with 71 residential units and Gabba Central II with 46 units including 38 dual keys is only weeks away from opening. The remaining 154 units which make up Gabba Central III are due for completion later in 2007. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Gabba Central visit the website at GabbaCentral.com.au – designed by Refreshweb last month..
With the opening of Gabba Central, Woolloongabba is set to become the go ahead area of Brisbane. The owners of the Chalk Hotel recognise this. The have developed one of Brisbane’s trendiest watering holes and have plans for even more expansions. Brisbane City Council has also recognised this. Their urban development plan for the area focuses on getting the mix right between commercial and residential development while providing plenty of green space with parklands and tree lined streets.
The onsite managers of River Place purchased a site rebuild from us last month which has now gone live - check out their feature-packed CMS website at: RiverPlace.com.au
We've completed the testing phaze and the data feeds are working sucessfully with RealCommercial - we're waiting on some final peices of paperwork before taking this exciting new service live. We expect this service to come online mid-february. Obviously the price of platinum memberships is tipped to increase as a result, so if your brokerage is considering a platinum subscription or your contract is due for renewal, now is the time to lock-it-in.
As part of our general expansion strategy for the site, we've now added a completly new category of listings: Hospitality. Brokers can now list their Motels, Bed and Breakfasts, Caravan Parks, Back-Packer Hostels, etc, for sale on ThePropertyManager.com.au.
We spent the silly-season locked in a dark room writing new software that has rebuilt the RentAustralia site from the ground-up to integrate elegantly with ThePropertyManager. Any rental listings posted on ThePropertyManager.com.au will now syndicate automatically to this site. We’re no longer affiliated with the American owned RentAustralia.com site – so please be sure to use the new .com.au extension to reach the site. We’ve also rebuilt StudentHousing101.com.au, again from the ground-up, to provide a specialized student accommodation portal for our national network of participating universities. The uptake has been phenomenal with students and landlords, alike, joining the site in droves to search and list accommodation in their districts. Again – any rental listings posted on ThePropertyManager.com.au will be syndicated to this site also. Ensuring your marketing footprint is maximized, with minimal effort on your part.
We've now implimented a real-time payment gateway to ensure one-time listers can create and pay for their advertisments instantly, by credit card - with rental listings starting from just $35.00 you have no excuse not to start using ThePropertyManager.com.au to publicise and manage all your rental listings.
We wish to extend a warm welcome to our newest MR Broker: Terry McNiles who has officially signed up as a platinum member. Terry’s portfolio boasts an impressive suite of multi-million dollar management rights listings as well as an extensive range of hospitality listings.
