Refreshweb unvails 2 major property websites

Published: 17 March 2007.

Refreshweb is the web development company responsible for designing, building and operating ThePropertyManager.com.au, RentAustralia.com.au and the new StudentHousing101.com.au. When we’re not busy creating world-class property portals, our services can be engaged to work on your website. This week we were very proud to unveil 2 new sites we’ve created for 2 Brisbane property managers.

The first site was commissioned by Brisbane RUMs: Anthea and Derick of RiverPlace Apartments, a 34 story residential tower and prominent feature of the city skyline. Our brief on this project was to reinvent the tower’s web presence with an updated look and fresh content. As with all our websites, RiverPlace features our award winning Content Management System (CMS) allowing the client to change pages on their site in moments, whenever needed, without needing to continually pay a web designer. The site also makes use of some clever image-resize and transparency techniques to automatically generate a different background image into the header of every page of the site, automatically. We also employed a Dynamic Text Replacement (DTR) technique to render page headlines in non-standard, graphical type - without compromising Search Engine compatibility. Having already completed websites for local landmarks including Aurora, Central Plaza and the Multiplex Cruise Ship terminal – it was indeed an honor to be able to add Riverplace to this collection. I’d like to thank Anthea and Derick for trusting us to design their new site and also congratulate them on their recent purchase of Admiralty Towers.

The second site was commissioned by Brisbane RUMs: Graham; Trish; and Martin, of the long-awaited GabbaCentral. The site is dedicated to attracting both short and long-term tenants to this stunning $125million mixed-use development. In addition to the Refreshweb CMS, this site also show-cases our Listing Engine technology, which allows the site to ‘talk’ to ThePropertyManager.com.au and display up-to-date vacancies within the complex, fed directly from our property network. It also boasts valid XHTML 1.0 Strict markup which has been carefully optimized to achieve maximum results with Search Engines. I sincerely enjoyed working with Graham, Trish and Martin on the development of their new site and wish them every success with the upcoming launch.
